Manna...on the Road

(ESV) 1 Corinthians15 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

It seems that we are so eager to pull some new "truth" about God out of scripture, that we sometimes forget the basics of we're sinners, hopelessly lost and heading for Hell at 100 mph, we are called by the Lord and he shows us our eternal state, we must believe that Jesus graciously came from heaven, lived a perfect, sinless life, died for our sins and rose again, defeating death and we repent of our sins and make Him the Lord of our lives, then we get the Holy Spirit as our help til we are united with Jesus again in Heaven.

Maybe you believe a little diffently, but that's scripturally the path to salvation and eternal life, as opposed to eternal punishment for our sins.

How do we know that it is true? Well, the guys that are closest to Him all died terrible deaths, mostly involving torture, and would not deny Him. All of the writings of the New Testament were written during a time when they could have been contested by the people that were there witnessing the miracles.

The faith that it takes to believe is not a challenge all you need to do is open the door a crack to say maybe there is something to this. He will reveal the truth to you. He did it for me over 11 years ago now.

Many blessings,
Steve
