John 16:26 (NASB) "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;
27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
Without digging too deeply, this verse isn't a blank check for anything that we want will be given to us as many on the la-tee-da channel would have you to believe, the name it and claim it crowd. The word love is phileo which is an affection kind of love, as in a family. We are in the family of The Father and Jesus if we have believed! If that doesn't get you a little fired up your wood is wet!
