Manna, its a late dinner

After being up at 6am on a Saturday to get packed and driving a total of 5 hours, this is a lot later than I would like, but I did get to listen to Matt Chandler a bunch, so my toes are adequately stepped on since I won't have Sandy to do it for me tomorrow.

Matt Chandler is the preacher for the Village Church in Tx. He had brain cancer a couple years ago and he had surgery, chemo and radiation, now he's back to a full schedule and all test are clean, however 85% have relapses with brain cancer, can't cut too much and can't fry it too much. So he sees life through much different glasses than most of us do.

Check him out on Itunes or you tube.

(NASB) Genesis 11:1 Now the whole earth 1used the same language and the same words.
2 It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land aof Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly." And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
4 They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."
5 The Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
6 The Lord said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.
7 "Come, let Us go down and there bconfuse their language, so that they will not understand one another's speech."
8 So the Lord ascattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city.
9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.

This is just a few generations after the flood that left only 4 couples on the earth and here we go again, trying to be like God. But thousands of years later many people do the same thing today. We want to control life and death in the name of science. We want to control nature, we want to be in control of everything. The same thing happened in the garden of Eden, Eve wanted to control what she ate.

Real freedom happens when you turn over control to God. It is not an overnight process, but take time to work on it day by day.
