Manna in Montgomery...

(NASB) John 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

One of the great assurances given by Jesus. Those who are His are His, a gift from the Father! What great encouragement! He knows me and sees me as a gift. Would the Father take back the gift if we mess up? Surely not! We are His for eternity.

But notice that the verse implies that we are just a bunch of (dumb) sheep...We not only need the shepherd to take care of us, we will know His voice and follow Him. In Jesus time, if a sheep wondered away from the shepherd, as they were prone to do, they would be consumed. They needed to listen and follow the shepherd to safety and green pastures with good water. If you know someone that is not following the Shepherd or not listening to the Shepherd, then you pray earnestly that they either submit or get saved...there are only two options, they will be consumed.

Praise God for being the Good Shepherd!
