Manna

(ESV) Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation thas been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

As we better understand what it means to be a believer, we are given the perspective that this time of suffering is short and the eternal peace that we are given is going to be overshadowed by the joy of being with the Father again, as it was intended from the beginning in the Garden of Eden. Imagine a leasurely stroll with God and all is at peace....

Then the times, like today, when I say dumb things, do dumb things and seek my own glorification, will not bog me down any longer. I will stop caring about "I".

Believers are given the Holy Spirit as a down payment of what is to come, what a gift! But when we are birthed in our new bodies and revealed as adopted sons of God, the richness of the relationship with our Heavenly Daddy will be so good.

Press onward toward the goal as the time comes nearer,
Steve
