Wisdom for the new year - Proverbs 21

The desire of the sluggard kills him,
for his hands refuse to labor.
All day long he craves and craves,
but the righteous gives and does not hold back.
Proverbs 21:25-26 ESV

There are so many nuggets of goodness in these verses, but it is clear
that people have one of two outlooks on life...you are either a giver
or a taker.

A taker would rather talk than work, only looking for the reward of
the work, not just the work.

The Righteous is generous in what he has been given, maybe generous to
a fault, "does not hold back" That is only a God thing, no humans
apart from the Holy Spirit would operate this way.

The application is simple, look at your life and see which one you
are. The Lord had called us to be righteous, but there are numerous
examples of whole churches not following that example. But you can
always change for His glory!

Many blessings,
Steve
