Wisdom for the new year - Proverbs 14

Proverbs 14:7-8 ESV

Leave the presence of a fool,

for there you do not meet words of knowledge.

The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way,

but the folly of fools is deceiving.

What can someone who is wise ever learn from a fool? Nothing, however in our culture foolishness is attractive. We need to recognize that there is no worth from entertaining ourselves with that foolishness, but instead seeking out wisdom to change our lives posively. I think that this is particularly important in our media...music, movies and television. Our media should honor Christ if we are believers.

For Him,
Steve
