Manna from John

(ESV) John 1:19 And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ." 21 And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No." 22 So they said to him, "Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?" 23 He said, "I am tthe voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said."

The Pharasees knew their scripture. But it never entered their heart. John the Baptist ministry was not to replace Jesus, but to set the table for him. Many people did the same in my life. I had several people preach into my life well before I repented and believed in Jesus.

But my question for us is do you love Jesus enough to do this for someone else? God calls each Christian to be a witness to others. If youe love Jesus, you will care about the lost souls in this world. John's ministry, like ours, pointed to Christ.

For Him,
